not every company, store, institution has the money to provide a computer and a software for you to input information, paperwork will be done for generations to come may be not on paper any more

Compact music players with great sound that didn't degrade over time like cassettes did, and was re-recordable. It didn't really take off in North America because tapes had 'good enough' quality, but once you heard the difference between tapes and MD, it was like night and day. I was highly dissapointed when I first bought an iPod, because the audio quality was so bad compared to my MD players.
