i didn't really understand some of the words they say cuz they speak pretty fast..
i think the only way to adjust their speed is if you actually buy the product.
i didn't find it THAT useful, it actually got annoying after a little bit cuz i would receive an extra text message after saying "i heard your text message read out loud...blah blah blah drivesafe.ly"

My friends BB had it yesterday and we were screwing around with it all day. Basically you send him a text. And it beeps. You have about 5 seconds to press cancel if you dont want it read aloud. After about 5 seconds, a womens voice will say:

NEW TEXT MESSAGE. SENDER: "BLAH BLAH". MESSAGE: "whatever you typed in."

Pretty cool app. IMO, it was pretty clear and loud. The only problem it really has is that it takes a while to process. I think what happens is that the message gets sent to another network, and then they translate it, then it gets sent back to you. We sent so many msgs, it flooded the system haha. One came like 10 minutes later on. When you send it, you can see the 3g network start going.

Another thing is that you have to save your contact numbers a certain way, otherwise, it calls out the number, instead of the name: ie...in my friends bb, you have to type in the full 10 digits without spaces: 6049871569 rather than 604-987-1569. It didnt recognize the contact.

jmanhas is right, if you forget to turn it off, youre screwed. In the middle of a meeting or if somone sends you something inappropriate, youre screwed.

As of today, it is still not out for Iphone yet. =(
