When you want a girl you have to work for it, slipping her a piece of paper with your email is not work, that's the easy way out and unless you look like Brad Pitt it's not going to work.
Many guys here seem to have all the balls to ask out a chick but it's easier said than done. I'm also confused as to what attracted you to this girl when you described her as "not bad looking" as attraction is what comes first.
