Wind warning for Metro Vancouver issued

Southeast winds 50 to 70 km/h have developed this evening over west and East Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver.
Southeast winds up to 90 km/h have developed this evening over the Southern Gulf Islands and Victoria.
This is a warning that potentially damaging winds are expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.
A front near the west shore of Vancouver Island is spreading strong southeast winds of 50 to 70 km/h over west and East Vancouver Island and the Inner South coast. Winds up to 90 km/h have developed over Victoria and the Southern Gulf Islands this evening. The winds will ease overnight as the front moves out of the region.
