plasma generally tend give better PQ but most people by LCD for practicality and reliability. If you use HTPC it's best to stick with LCD..evne though burn ins isnt an issues with new plasma panels. |

its totally different way to reproduction the colours. As i know plasma is relying on phosphor. Yes, every plasma TVs are using glass on top. In professional reviews, Most the time Plasma are the winners. For best Movie experience, i would pick Plasma as well. |

It really depends on who you bump into in the store.... XDDD Honestly, i spend so much $$ on Home Theatre stuff after i joined FS. Everytime, i see new TVs, I just wanna buy them.... :( right now, we just starting carry Martin Logan speakers. Thinking of getting that babe in xmas time. Time to spend $$ again :( |

That's another factor of LCD vs Plasma, if you have a lot of lights or windows that will be on when your TV is on, then plasmas can get a lot of glare. If it's a dark, dedicated media room, then glare isn't an issue. |
so due to IME 's explaination we should get Plasma?? not LCD? seems like plasma's color still cannot catch up to LCD? so what gives?? god damn :( now im hesitating again lol |
well do you have windows in the room the tv will be in? or lights that will be on a lot? that was a big factor for us as there's big windows down one wall, and the glass front of the plasma would've given way too much glare. |
ya its right by huge windows |

Unless you don't care about the glare, and want the best colour ...etc. like my colleague. lol But if you always watch TV at night time. You are fine with plasma. Plasma colour is better than LCD. But you gatta check both Colours before getting them. Different person, prefer different colour. |
