installed exhaust, now revs jump..clutch slippage?

just installed an Apexi WS2 in my 99 lude, previous to this i had no instances of my current problem.

now, when i accelerate a little more than modestly, the revs will jump about 1000 rpm, and hold there until the car catches up.

I havent owned manual long enough to know whether this is a huge coincidence and the clutch has finally started to slip, or if there is something causing the car to over-rev after installing..

I dont really know what else i can say to explain the problem, but it happens across all the gears except for first. and it does it during the low rpm range for the gear.

FTW = help!

Highly doubt the exhaust is causing this. Sounds more like a slipping clutch. given this is a 10 year old car, do you know how old the clutch is?
How many km's on this car? I use the rule of thumb 100K km per clutch. Some people get 160K km's and some people get less than 80K km's on a clutch so YMMV.

Go about 35km in 2nd, shift to 4th and floor it.

Does the rpm go up but the car hardly goes faster? Yes = clutch.

yes, very ymmv. The clutch mainly depends on how the operator drives and conditions the car has to face. On my 93 civic si hatch, my first clutch was changed @ 320k..
