Wireless Bridge

I am planning to setup a wireless bridge to work with my xbox360. I currently have a WRT54GL running DD-WRT and I am planning to get the Asus WL-520GU flashed with DD-WRT as well. Would this setup work or do I need to buy an identical WRT54GL?

Thanks!

Should work fine. No reason it needs to be a matching pair.

DD-WRT has a list of routers that will work with certain versions of DD-WRT. I would give that a look first.

Well I know for certain that the Asus router is compatible with the ddwrt firmware. I'm unsure if it would be compatible with the linksys for wireless bridging.

Nah, you will be fine. It's more or less DD-WRT actually working on the router than the two routers being able to establish a link. My landlord runs D-Link and I have the Linksys WRT54G. I know they are not the same in your case, but my last landlord did happen to have an Asus and it was working then.
