any Manga readers here?

ok i thought we had a literature section but i can't find it.

anyways i started reading a lot of manga on my iPhone lately using the "iManga"

can you recommend me some worthwhile stuff to read?

currently about to finish "Ichigo 100%"

current likes are:

anything by Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikkoku, Urutsei Yatsura etc.)

I'm looking for long series with comedy, relationship, themes

I have been thinking of getting back into my art since i will be home for a while after my kid is born.

any recommendations are welcome.

someone move this if there is a book forum, thanks :)

Ichigo 100%! :spin:

I read Naruto and Bleach every week. But since you are just beginning to read it, it may be hard for you to catch up. This is why I never read One Piece because its got more than 400 chapters.........

Psykopathik 11-10-2009 03:20 PM

btw. im not into stuff like pokemon or dragonball.

Just finished Ichigo 100%. just fabulous. Loved it a lot. I wish there was more.

you know you read something great when you sort of tear up when its over...

SATSUKI !!!!!!! AAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!! :fappery:

Just running through my bookmarks:

BECK (one of my favourites, finished, has anime out)
Nodame Cantabile (funny, music theme, has anime out)
Ouran High School Host Club (funny, reverse harem(not really cause the female isn't that interested), also has anime out)
Skip Beat (i like it, another one with and anime out)
Nana (drama galore, again anime)
Ai Kora (if you want another harem to read, its not bad, similar to love hina)

good mangas always are made into anime...or if you want find one yourself, they have tons on onemanga you can read online...

Kimagurie Orange Road best series ever.

Nausicaa (but a little note the original publication and the later ones are different Miyazaki snipped a lot out or added more in)

I read so many manga every week, if my boss finds out, he will fire my for sure because there is NO WAY I can get anything done with that amount of reading lol.

If you are looking for romance, long and themed, look for Adachi Mitsuru.

and if you can read Chinese, I can send you a website that'll for sure kill your productivity.

boss604 11-11-2009 09:56 PM

gundam !!!

StylinRed 11-12-2009 04:04 AM

love hina is just a cheap copy of Orange Road for the younger gen of kids, and it didnt reach the level of Orange Road :P

Psykopathik 11-12-2009 07:16 AM

there sems to be a formula that the "harem" stories follow. 1 useless guy meets girl. girl hates him. he does something nice, she starts to fall in love. another girl becomes interested.

accident prone people trip on invisible obsticles and fall on top on one another.
third person in love triangle shows up no matter where this happens. could be in a well, outerspace etc.

drama ensues

If you like music, read BECK. The music from the anime is actually rather good too.

LOL...Ichigo 100%. That manga is infuriating.

Spoiler!

started reading "Lilim Kiss" by the same guy who did Ichigo 100%.

sexy succubus demon who feeds of men's energy by kissing them in their dreams. finds a guy who she want to feed off of exclusively.

not bad so far.

Pretty sure Mizuki Kawashita is a chick. She has a new one out called Ane-doki about some high school girl that runs away from home and shacks up with some 12-year old kid or something. I heard it isn't any good though.

Seriously, go read BECK...it's better than just about everything else in existence in terms of manga, especially if you love music.

But then again, knowing Turbo E, he's just reading for the ecchi...

This one was only average I thought...too short.
Decent plot and pretty humorous though.
