how come the laser beam seemed so thick? the dot of the beam could be seen from like their POV (which seems like they're on the 2nd or the 3rd flr)

I think its one of those big assed 300mw lasers that people pay thru the nose for. They have a helluva range tho.

if you get a laser pointer for bb guns and wire up more batteries, voila you get what they have. i was able to get the beam to go really far with 2 AA's.

it's not the range that's impressive..it's the width of the laser 'dot'.

It looks like it's 6 in wide from the video lol.
