I have a roof rack, does that count as modded? My blue 5dr HB is lowered 1.8" with 15" Konig Rewinds (because my OEM 14's were dead and I found a sweet deal on a used set of rims and tires). I tried 16" and the weight of the wheels and lower profile tires made the car ride like crap. The lowering already made it considerably bumpier and less comfortable. I think anything bigger than 16" makes the car look silly. The stock ride was way soft though, so increasing the stiffness did help with the handling at the expense of comfort. Car also looks much better lowered.

In hindsight, modding this car is a waste of money IMO. It's a cheap econobox, not built great. It gets you from A to B efficiently and cheaply, and is great to park into tight parallel parking spaces. Save the mod money and get a better car

To the guy who gets 550km/$35, sounds a bit optimistic. Back when I was worried about my fuel consumption, seemed like most people were getting about 500km/35L with average day to day driving, which is about what I get. After a regular fill up, my last fuel bar starts flashing usually around 480-500km's.

Bump this thread. It needs to be revived.
Yarisworld.com is where we all go for this breed of car.
Or ubcscc.com for those who like to play with them a bit more instead of "show and tell".
