Last movie that scared the snot out of you

for me it was "Quarrantine".

blair witch type camerawork, zombie type monsters coming out of the dark, monster suspense...fuck that movie gave me the heebee-jeebies something fierce!

El Bastardo 11-14-2009 08:44 AM

Most zombie movies do that to me. I start thinking about how hopeless life would be if something like that happened.

Also, The Road looks scarily depressive too.

I don't watch too many scary movies, and some of the ones I choose to watch now are a little disappointing.. but one that scarred me for life was Stephen King's IT

hotjoint 11-18-2009 01:46 PM

The ring scared the crap outta me :lol

SaviorSelf_666 11-18-2009 01:54 PM

paranormal activity and the fourth kind were lame...just startle you at most. I found the ring pretty scary.

Jsunu 11-18-2009 02:47 PM

The Ring will be the only movie that really truly terrified me. And i was unfazed by grudge 1/2 and any other horror movie. Just the Ring.... weird.

CRS 11-18-2009 03:53 PM

The Exorcist.

The 1970s still knows how to scare the crap out of me.

Seriously. After watching it, I get sooo edgy.

murd0c 11-18-2009 06:45 PM

Fire in the sky when it first camout back in the day. Nothing scares me anymore!!

JHatta 11-18-2009 08:38 PM

i really thought paranormal activity and the fourth kind would be scary...what a fucking letdown

last scary movie was shutter (not the faggy white version)

JulyZerg 11-19-2009 01:13 AM

Wow, the ring scared for me almost a week after watching it.

other than that, most scary movies only scare for a second or two and i just laugh it off.

PsycHo_DraGoN69 11-19-2009 12:43 PM

the ring did not scare me.... i don't understand how that movie is scary??!? haha
i think the last movie that truly scared me was darkness falls back a decade ago. incredibly poorly done movie, but the idea of things in the dark scares me...

I kept on think the ring, but that was nothing compared to this one.

The grudge 1 and 2

I still remember at the end of the movie the ghost coming out from teh jackets of the middle chick....

the remake and the original was just as good.

shenmecar 11-19-2009 01:41 PM

I would say Amityville Horror, i dont remember if its spelled like that

Agreed to this. The ring 1 and 2 were not scary at all, I don't see why the majority of people here find them so scary. hahaha and i'm a girl! Zombie movies are also too fake and therefore not scary

Deezle 11-20-2009 12:23 AM

The Haunting in Conneticut was pretty fucking scary

El Bastardo 11-20-2009 02:04 AM

Watching Pontypool right now. A Canadian zombie movie about an outbreak of murderous rampages where the "infection" is spread not by bites or viruses but by the English language.

Its a weird concept but it works for the movie.

And yes, because it was a zombie-ish movie I found it a little scary.

QFT.

The only other movie that comes a veeeeeery distant second is the Thai(?), subtitled version of Shutter.

RayBot 11-20-2009 08:46 AM

There weren't a lot of movies that i watched where i wasn't able to sleep properly the same night i watched it...

28 Weeks Later was the movie that stood out the most.

RayBot 11-20-2009 08:47 AM

Oh...and i do have to say that Paranormal Activity did scare me significantly.

The main reason why is because i have used a ouija board before where some eerie shit has happened.......This movie pretty much stopped me from using it ever again.

Grandmaster TSE 11-20-2009 08:54 AM

haven't been scared in a while

IT freaked the fuck out of me when i was really young

If you're talking about the one that came out on the Discovery Channel a few years back, then yea, that was freaky for me as well.

Gh0stRider 11-20-2009 03:50 PM

Grudge 2 scared the shit outta me. Especially the ending
