Dispute + guilty = DPP when?

if i disputed a ticket and lost.
would the DPP be put into effect at the day of lost at court or the day of the offence?

Good question. My experience is that everything happens on the day of conviction.

under the old system you could only get one ticket per year. I know once I got 2 in one year. paid one, lost the other a year later. didn't have to pay any points so it must have been on conviction.

the new system is 3 over 3 years so really it doesn't matter much any more which year it happens.

^3 over 3 years? whats that never heard of it.
i thought it was 4+points (usually 2 tickets) in the span of 1 year, makes me pay DPP premium and then my points are back to 0. so if i get another ticket after i pay my premium, ill be back to 2-3points not

also, when does the 1 year start. my first ticket? the year 2009?

Let me go to icbc.com and find it for you.

http://icbc.com/driver-licensing/tic...dpp-calculated

And just under the tab, it has all the answers to your initial questions.

Wow, the wonders of the internet...

under phase 1

Quote:
Beginning in January 2009, DRP takes effect.
then is say's
You will pay a DRP if you have:

Quote:
* one or more driving-related Criminal Code convictions,
* one or more 10-point Motor Vehicle Act convictions,
* one or more excessive speeding convictions and/or two or more roadside suspensions.

DRP apply if these offences occurred on or after Jan. 1, 2008

Once the DRP is fully phased in, the driver record scan will be for the past three years.
I have points from November 20ish 2008.. i paid DPP so there for i am not affected by this ?
