Sending Liquids internationally

Wanted to send some cologne for a relative over in Asia... was wondering whether it would be possible to send some through Canada post?

Do those amount of liquid restrictions apply? I found this.. but not sure whether this is applicable.

https://ssl.postescanada-canadapost..../moving-e.aspx

Plus, there are no specific links form Canadapost that state you cannot ship perfume or cologne? Anyone know and have sources? Thanks in advance.

I bought some perfume off ebay for my gf. It came to my house fine. I dunno if there's a rule or not. Maybe talk to the post office where you're going to be sending from to be sure

expect the bomb squad/hazmat team to "open" your package if it breaks and they see something leaking out of it... it wiould be best if you don't leave a return address on it

You fail, sir!

LoL... this is right from the link you posted:

Allowable dangerous goods

You can ship these if they're packed in a carton labelled "Consumer Commodity - Dangerous Goods Exempt". You must also declare them on the bill of lading as the only dangerous goods you're shipping. They include:
Household cleaners, such as Ajax or Dutch Cleanser
Nail polish, polish remover and perfume
Non-flammable art supplies

You may have to ship it via surface. At the very least, you need to fully disclose the contents of the package, and have it clearly labeled. Inquire at your local post office for further clarification.

Not necessarily. If I can ship motor oil samples internationally via air, why would perfume be any different?

Because large quantities of perfumes and nail polish, etc. can have flammable vapours, can release vapours that can cause headache, nauseau, loss of consciousness, etc.
