I cannot imagine living next door to a person like David Suzuki.I would probably tell him to "go fuck yourself" within a week of living next door to him. |

Edit: sorry to make light of your passion and minor in Environmental Sciences. I have degrees from both UBC and SFU and I wouldn't take kindly to people making light of my studies. |

I got a question for you guys if global warming as you claim is not real, then why is it that the glaciers are melting? the second part of my question is, what is going to happen when the glaciers melt? |
Just be like me and cloud seed your hometown, that will teach those bastards |

1, We are supposed to be in an inter-glaical period. ( if you have never seen this before, try bing/google it) 2, The earth has been without any glaciers for a number of times. In contrast, they were also evidences that the earth was at least at one point completely covered by snow. ( SNOWBALL earth, again, try to look it up. ) That's what I have learnt at UBC, Don't blame me. Blame D.Suzuki.lol |
lol... this is why i declined to originally make the same post that OP did.. this is RS i personally dont believe that we are causing global warming single handedly |

growing? wtf? I think humans have SOME effect on the environment. With all our garbage landfills, our polluting or diverting lakes and rivers, chopping down trees, oil spills.... you can't say that these man-made disasters doesn't impact on the environment at all. I think there is some effect, but I'm not sure exactly how much. Regardless, it ain't good anyways. |

We're just a bunch of beings thriving in an environment that happens to be right for us at this short point in the planet's history. It wasn't always like this, and it won't be like this forever. Nothing we do has changed that, one way or the other. Quote:

polluting lakes/rives does not equal global warming. Thats fucking up the lake, not making the glaciers melt |

Global warming...not a big deal. Global pollution...BIG DEAL. Our oceans are filling up with plastic...not the best for fish/animals that live in it. Never mind the oil spills and oil run-off from our streets. Then the one I'm wondering about... How many nuclear powered submaines are sitting at the bottom of the ocean just corroding away waiting to let all that nice shit into the ocean? That'll be nice :) Either way humans are fucking the planet whether or not global warming exists. Good job everyone  (myself included) LOL |

He should also convert his home to run on solar and windpower to power all his electrical appliances,I wonder if his stove, hot water heater and furnace all run on natural gas? Shit,I think he should not even wear glasses, considering what it took to make them, the amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere to make the steelframes and the glass lense. I wonder if he has a problem with money too(although he has millions of it),cuase you know, you gotta gut down trees to make paper bills and melt steel, releasing toxic fumes into the air to make the coins. |

http://www.uwgb.edu/dutchs/Graphics-...h/longsect.gif Diverting lakes and rivers could alter the local climate, but not to a gobal scale. See Aral Sea. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi..._1989-2008.jpg The Aral sea is only 5% of its formal size. Surrounding areas have been observed to be colder in winter and hotter in the summer. Just a thought, I remembered some stupid newspaper article a few years ago were saying the gobal sea level is going to raise for 10m by 2020 or something. What a Scam :D~ |
