Chubby Lamb or Little Cattle? IMHO those 2 are probably the better Hotpot places in Vancouver, but I find them to be quite similar in quality. Helps that they are like only 10 walking steps apart too haha so I can go to either one within a minute! Which is your personal preference & what differences do you find that you like/dislike about either place? I plan to go tonight but haven't decided on which spot yet! |
cattle is better... lamb feels a bit dirtier better get ur reso in soon! |
cattle is more "hip" looking. I ll go with cattle because you get unlimited siu mei |
i like them both but vhubby lamb has the unlimited pop for a buck so I go there |
cattle. service is faster. |
I hate the service at Chubby Lamb. Made a reservation and when I got there, they wanted us to start ordering. We haven't even been seated yet, just standing by the doorway. As soon as we sat down, they were all over us trying to get us to order. Then they were all over us trying to get us to finish and leave so they can give the table to the next reservation even though we got the table 15 minutes after our reservation time. |
Went to chubby lamb yesterday night and it was ok. They kept rushing us to order even though it was 3/8 ppl that was there. |
I like chubby lamb the meat is pretty good there. |
I like Cattle more and for for some reason I think it's weird they have a website lol http://www.cattlehotpot.com/menu-eng-photos.html |
Chubby Lamb service is horrendous - that woman with the curly hair is kind of a PITA... I get it, you want quick turnaround times... but holy crap, let our asses warm the chairs first before you start firing rude "YOU ORDER NOW" comments up my asshole. ffs |
chubby lamb is better i think. the meat is better, like beef, it has more fat in it, where as cattle, the beef is very lean |
anyone try the " You Good " or in canto " yao gwut hey " hotpot in richmond? its in the same mall as Richmond Sushi but its right near the entrance to the mall, if you're entering near yaohan. I always go there... never really been to chubby lamb or little cattle, was wondering if anyone can tell me if its better than You Good |

Apparently the hotpot @ aberdeen is not bad. but i go to cattle =) |
^ I am thinking of trying the new aberdeen one... is there anything particular there that I should try? |

i only go to that place if lamb is packed and cant get a seat. and as for the aberdeen one, im not sure if its still the same "four season hotpot?" but the one and only time i went, me and my mom got major diarrhea afterwards, never ever went back, it wasnt even all u can eat back then. |
I usually go to Chubby Lamb. The service isn't great, but it's an AYCE Chinese place.. what do you expect? It's not as dirty as some of you make it out to be, and their meat seems to be pretty good quality. Don't try to make a reso the day of though.. |
neither, screw those two get the real deal, the real chubby lamb at lansdown mall  the soup base is god like |

i'm a frequent visitor there and i'm not just saying this because they are family friends...but the service is good, it's CLEAN, the food is fresh and i like how they give you a choice in picking your own sauce. their dimsum in the afternoon is pretty good too but the selection isn't very big. they are still a work in progress (just opened under a year) but they are definitely going up rather than down. |

Ive only been to cattle. I found it quite good in terms of variety, quality of food, service and atmosphere. I would definitely go whenever im in richmond. |

but recently i dont mind shelling out an extra $10 bux (roughly $30 bux pre person) eating that chubby lamb |
since chubby lamb has better meat, i go there most of the time, and their chubby lamb soup base is gooood |
