i just had my school department's on Friday.

Shaw had theirs last last Friday
CIBC had their mid Nov.

obviously you are a noob in the real world.

winson604 11-29-2009 04:31 PM

No it isn't weird at all. In fact tons of companies have had or will be having theirs in the coming days. This is pretty normal really as December can be chaotic and especially if your trying to book a place that holds lots of people.

sexyaccord 11-29-2009 04:34 PM

nope, had one yesterday

!SG 11-29-2009 04:35 PM

haha, i started 2 days after the christmas party at brian jessel's.

everyone was suppose to head out to the showroom on thursday afternoon to hear the winning prize draw. was standing on the side with dinan and richard (sorry bro, dont know ur username) and was saying, if i happened to win, then the draw would have definiately been rigged! hahahaha

It was cool though, Alex from our shipping team won some tickets to the canucks. like near playoff time!!!

Edison_Chen 11-29-2009 04:48 PM

Our company's Christmas dinner party is on Dec. 19.

GLOW 11-29-2009 06:43 PM

No. 5 Orange.

j/k. Usually someone's house. We did cruises and restaurants for a while, but it never worked out. It's a good excuse for some people to show off their house.

Vansterdam 11-29-2009 07:40 PM

mines this friday =D

tool001 11-29-2009 07:41 PM

some cheap companies do it sooner, pay less for the ballroom
or maybe they didnt book on time, so they are stuck with earlier date.

another reason to have it sooner,,, (not in nov, thats too early) is people go on vacation close to 24th

Jeffield 11-29-2009 07:49 PM

You are going to get lucky tonight.

roastpuff 11-29-2009 07:50 PM

Just had it yesterday... at Arbutus Club.

Sodium 11-29-2009 07:56 PM

Weird that its almost a month before Christmas and I don't feel like celebrating yet? Ya. Hate how they're playing Christmas carol evweywhere at the beginning of Nov...=\

the reason why businesses have staff parties this early is because they dropped the ball. period.

all the weekends in december at the x restaurants are already booked. try booking a staff party somewhere in december right now? if you find one you're one lucky bidness.

since whoever was in charge didn't bother to do this staff party early... you are stuck with a sunday night? staff party...
that's too bad.

wnderinguy 11-29-2009 09:07 PM

How many of your companies actually refer to it as a "Christmas " party and not something PC like "End of the Year " party or some such?
