Wouldn't the the EMP destroy all the files being stored? That means there's no more evidence of Dana helping those two out. Unless that guy somehow finds their bodies, which will most likely happen.

An EMP knocks out power...it wouldn't erase files unless they're stored on temporary storage like RAM. I mean, if you lose power during a blackout, your computer doesn't lose all the data on it.

EMP = electro magnetic pulse right? If they were going to just black it out wouldn't they have just destroyed a power plant or something like that? Usually all hard drives are magnetic disks, well unless CTU is using somesort of futuristic type of memory. Magnets + Hard Drives = no no
There's no way that all the data would just feed into CTU and not be mirrored else where... that place has two little rent-a-cops out front and that seems like it's all the security it has...
I'd actually be kind of disappointed if this brings the end of the Dana issue ( which is annoying as fuck as it is, but I'd hate to see some bull shit ending to it.)
Just as a side question: for all these homemade bombs and shit that appear in every movie. Is it assumed that theres a fail safe system built into every one of them so that you can't just simply cut all the wires? Wouldn't you have to go out of your way to build an additional circuit that would automatically blow if any of the wires were disconnected?
In any sense, couldn't the guy in the oxygen chamber just rip out all the wires at once and instead of wasting 30 mins rerouting everything?
what i didn't get was why the suicide bomber kid didn't help jack try to disable the vest. he JUST re-routed all the circuits and should have SOME idea what Jack was looking for...

I always wondered why anyone would come into a thread for any reason if they plan to watch the show. When I have a Canucks game PVRd I avoid all possible ways where I would find out about a result. Sorry I'm just sick of people bitching about spoilers, have some self control and not click on the thread until you've watched the episode.
Back on topic, its a shame this show is going to get cancelled. I wish they knew if its going to be the last before hand that way they can pull out all the stops and make a kick ass final season.

you can also count on there having an attempt on sabotaging CTU in some way, shape or form, but most importantly the one thing you can bank on is that Jack WILL NOT DIE no matter what happens. that's a given every season lol

I completely agree. This is a huge plot hole and the whole "turning herself in and telling the truth to the parole officer" drama makes no sense now that they revealed:
Earlier this month it was reported that this season of 24 would likely be the last for the series as the ratings have dropped and Fox seems disinterested in continuing production. At the time it was mentioned that the studio is considering shopping the series to other networks, but everyone believed that interest would probably be limited due to the high costs involved. It was later reported that Fox has been approached by NBC to pick up the series. But that last ditch effort did not come through. Series director/producer Jon Cassar announced minutes ago on Twitter that the show has been officially canceled:

I hope they end the series in a fashion it deserves!
I have my fingers crossed for Tony Almeida coming back and dieing in a blaze of glory to save Jack's life, a proper show exit like he deserves instead of being stabbed in the neck with a syringe or being arrested and taken to jail.
