I want to join the RCMP http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-col...n-charged.html awesome. join the system, kill a man, lawyer up and get away scott free with an obstruction of justice charge |
:rolleyes::rolleyes: |
The officer argued in B.C. Supreme Court in March that a motor vehicles adjudicator didn't properly consider his statement that he left the scene of the collision, had two shots of vodka and then returned to the scene. this is the funniest thing i've read all day, and i read FC today AND cartoons in the newspaper. AND, the cartoons were actually funny! |
smart cop, his drinks at home probably got him off on some technicality. |
This sounds like that one CSI Miami episode. Since you went home, had a couple of shots, your BAC goes up and they can't tell if that is the alcohol consumed before or after the collision. Clever. |
Note to self: if you run someone over, race home and get plastered. :rolleyes: |
the more obvious thing to do is to keep a can of beer in the car (unopened - because that would be illegal) and then if/when you get into an accident, crack the beer open. i think this sets some bad precedent for people to do the same... especially if they know they're the type to deliberately choosing to drive drunk... *shakes head* |
He's the Grim Reaper - You see him you DIE! Now the family is going to sue the RCMP and we the tax payer will again front the bill AGAIN for this guy. |
When i grow up, i too want to be a punishment avoiding police cop... edit* /takes a sip of brandy |
i saw that episode of csi miami |
fucken bullshit |
So this guy is directly responsible for the deaths of 2 people. I would be tripping balls. |
So.... Who want to try and find his house address? |

"Last Drink Defence" So how many people here think this asshole knew exactly how to exploit this defence from the start? |
so if a cop pulls me over while i'm drunk I can just crack a beer and they can't charge me for impaired driving? wtfff thats fucked |
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm does this actually hold up in court? |
WOW, THAT'S SOO STUPID |

http://www.canlii.org/eliisa/highlig...04bcsc778.html [3] The petitioner states that in answer to the allegations made before the adjudicator, his answer is that he had a blood alcohol level which exceeded 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood “at the time of driving” was that he had a “last drink.” In short, says Mr. King ”the alcohol was in his stomach not his blood at the time of driving (and was subsequently absorbed prior to the sample being taken). Mr. King submits that the adjudicator failed to comprehend or recognize the “last drink” defence. Basically, after reading some stuff online if i crashed into someone after drinking the case would be open and shut that I was intoxicated which led to the accident's occurrence. However, if I have a drink AFTER the accident, your BAC test would be null and void since it would A) show alcohol literally in my mouth, and it would be open to debate whether I had in fact drank prior to the accident and hence was intoxicated enough to cause the accident. |

So I guess all drunk drivers getting pulled over can now say to the RCMP, " Well ....the RCMP was not charged for drunk driving why should I get fined and arrested". There's so much talk about this over the news already.....*sigh* |
lol at police cop haha |
