Okay, I put your name on the list. I'm still waiting to hear back from different vendors. I heard back from a local guy and his prices are alright but obviously, the more people, the cheaper it is.

Same. Flats - okay. But up hills and stuff -

What time are you thinking? I like to sleep in.

I don't know what kind of cleats you use but I wrecked a pair of my Shimano SPD-SL cleats within a season's time frame. I walked on them a lot and decided to pick up a pair of Kool Kovers. These things are awesome. I don't know of La Bicicletta sells them but I know for a fact Pacific Multisport does. These things are awesome. I highly recommend them if you're commuting.

Never bought a bike ever but if I were to buy a beginners BMX what should I get? Just want something to cruise and do a few tricks on. What are good brands? Probably going to grab something used on Craigslist

Just got back from my first time riding a fixed gear at the Burnaby Velodrome. My god was it ever scary and fun. It's a totally different experience from my road bike and I totally recommend for people to give it a shot. I went with a few friends for a friend's birthday and I was a little hesitant to go fast since crashing badly six months ago but I gradually got the hang of it.

I'd totally be down for some morning casual/coffee rides in the future.

That's a tough question. How tall are you? Would a 20" suit you? 24"? Just cruising? Or you want to hit the bike park? Flatland tricks? Dirt jumping? Lots to consider! I would go to a bike shop first and explain to them what you intend to do and have them point you in the right direction first. Then, maybe search Craigslist. Like I tell everyone, worst thing to do is throw money on something that you don't end up using.

Just a follow up to my Wiggle order from Friday

Track info shows that the package landed in richmond on Sunday and cleared customs this morning and is being processed by canadapost.

Ill probably be taking delivery of this tomorrow!

Free shipping from Europe and it only took 3-4 days is amazingly fast.

Ive ordered from crc before but they weren't as fast.

Highly recommend wiggle so far

Ps. Hopefully mike / bcrdukes isn't banned lol

Ill text him

I needed some inexpensive tires for my vintage bike, new tubes, new brake pads for my 105 focus, and a water bottle cage.

So i went with the following:
2 x Vittoria Rubino Clinchers
2 x Conti tubes
1 x SwissStop Flash Pro Black (2 pairs)
1 x Elite Bottle Cage

1.) CRC totalled $82.20 CAD + $9.99 CAD shipping = $92.19 CAD shipped

2.) Wiggle totalled $83.08 CAD including FREE shipping

3.) Local bike store totalled $160.00 including tax

So i went with the obvious choice, Wiggle, placed the order last night at 7pm. Order was processed and shipped out this morning at 1:32am with a tracking number. Scheduled to arrive next Friday the 8th.

How do you beat that!?!?!

Got my goods. Ordered on Friday, received today Tuesday. Saved almost 50% compared to the local bike shops.

No tax duty or tariffs.

Check out the size of this box. It's huge considering it was shipped for free (tires I bought were wire tires and folded down a bit)

Wow that was fast!

I find it odd how its faster and cheaper to order from Wiggle a UK based company than from our american counterparts..

planning on getting a ridley from CC, wondering if anyone has experience with their shipping?

Also, i heard Ridley tends to be bigger in size and i was told by a rep there to get a medium for my inseam and height (6 ft tall). Is this true?

Promised my friend we would ride up Haleik....(Whatever it's call, the volcano in Maui). 38 Miles up from sea level to 10000' plus, then 38 miles down... wooo lol. Suggested training routes in Vancouver? Barely ever ridden my bike. I did a quick jaunt out to UBC the other day, but the hill is too small. Grouse is out this time of year. Anyone headed out to Squamish? I have 2 months to get ready.

Yes.

Try Backcountry.com / RealCyclist.com - They currently have a sale on some Ridley bikes.

Have you ridden around sasamat lake in Pomo?

My friend and I rode out from Kits to white pine beach on Friday and did a few loops and climbs

There are lots of great climbs as you enter from Ioco Road

10-15% grades. If you check strava you can see the loops and climbs ppl have done there to get an idea.

On the way back Barnet hwy is total rape riding into a head wind lol.

Did about 80kms total round trip

Do a few up and down loops of cypress or seymour. Haleakala is loooong assed straight uphill ride.

Finally made the switch from platforms to clipless. Dat efficiency.

Chose the A530 hybrids, Shimano RT-52 shoes and the multirelease SPD cleats; best of all the price, $115 total with freeshipping from CRC, got a serious discount which made it easy to make the jump.

Did 54km today. Couldn't of asked for a better day, It was gorgeous out!

Finally went to Musette Caffe.

Picked up my Red Dot cap and had a impulse buy of Levi's Commuters in Burntwood, because they were 25% off.
