Anyone here using it? I think darthchilli mentioned he had it..
Senna, do you have it in your store? Anything local?
Reviews, thoughts, opinions, etc?
I finally want to dive into the strobist world..

Yeah, we have it, I think the price was $279 for the set. It doesn't have the range of Pocketwizards(150' vs. 1600'), but they seem to be ok. I haven't had anyone complain about them so far. I personally have never used them but I like the design of the Flash Waves because they're so compact compared to PW's, and the receiver has a hot shoe, so a flash can be connected directly to the receiver instead of it dangling from a cord.

The hotshoe is what does it for me, really seals the deal.

hmmmmm interesting.
I'm looking into doing more flash photography and have been looking at PWs... these seem to be pretty good alternatives

I've been working in the camera store long enough to tell you some info about these guys. I actually sold quite a bit of these to get people to start strobist photography.
I've seen both Flashwaves 1, 2, and pro go wrong. It's common that they either work flawlessly, or they don't work after the first few hours of usage. If you buy them online you might have to risk sending them back because you got a bad copy.
As for triggering range the 2 and pro is definitely better than the 1. The FW1 was missing that antenna that would make the FW1 miss when it's triggered at specific angles.
Overall they're pretty decent. I do recommend them unless you have the money to spend on pocket wizards (The PW PlusII's build quality isn't as good as these guys though).

I just got a set of radiopoppers. 1 transmitter and 3 receivers was $260. I havn't had a chance to use them yet as I'm waiting for some adapters to come in so I can use them on my old school vivitar flashes 
From what I've read, they are supposed to be great!

did you get the Receiver Studio or Receiver Basic set? Sounds like the ability to do TTL is great but then it says you'll need to get the "upcoming" RPcube for it to work?
I guess full-manual is good enough to start with? so the Basic set is fine for that?

Alright, yea, it's kinda confusing.
I got the basic, because I have manual flashes (vivitars), but here is the difference
The studio and basic sets are idential physically. The difference is in the programming.
The basic has no control over the flashes power or ttl.
The studio can control the power level of the flashes. It can do the alienbees and WD I think? right now. For TTL flashes (except the sb-900) it can control the power level once the RPcube comes out.
