What's the difference between 60hz and 120hz. I is noob?

twitchyzero 12-07-2009 01:48 PM

^ refresh rate...if you play games/watch action films/sports a lot it's something to consider. It's pretty much standard for 2009 model TV's anyways.

There will be an awkward soap opera effect when you first watch it, but you'll get used to it later and it'll eventually look a lot smoother and won't blur during fast frames.

Armind 12-07-2009 01:52 PM

Hmm.. has anyone bought a tv from openboxco.com before?

+

Which one is more bang for the buck. Sharp vs Samsung.

do people really get used to it? I can't. I can't even begin to imagine what a 240hz looks like

oh nvm today is already the 6th lol

they started doing that like 2 weeks ago tho

LOL which is actually a bad thing if you think about it

when i bought my tv at FS, they were doing the same price match thing... so their sale prices were already matched to their competitors' lowest price.
meaning that i couldnt get 10% of the difference, lol

but it all worked out in the end, my tv ended up dropping in price over $100 within 30 days, and i got the difference back. My LG 42" cost me less than 900, and thats after tax and enviro fee :D

!MiKrofT 12-07-2009 03:05 PM

They just buy defective TV's repair them and sell them marked up. I'd rather buy new.

The most important difference (IMO) between LCD and Plasma, is that the Plasma has to have a sheet of glass over the front layer, so if you have any big windows or lots of light in the room, go LCD. If it's going to be in a dedicated media room/in a basement or something, then it's a bit more open.

LG and Visio both make true LED Tv's.

In what, an 11"? I know they make small ones but that is irrelevant to this thread.

one time i bought a PC, printer, mointor and whole bunch other shit

the guy in richmond FS was being very nice until i basically told him no i aint fucking paying a cent for warranty cuz i dont need that shit. He pretty much just walks away and left me all by myself checking out the shit that im buying

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

hahaha typical sales :D:D:D:D
bet ya that guys has no return customers at all....:D:D:D:D

Manic! 12-08-2009 10:44 AM

I you don't want the warranty just say "is the product that bad you think it's going to break? The will say "no" and then they will usually shut up if they still keep talking say " so that brand is really crappy maybe I should look at another brand" and that will shut them up for good.

Also go for a Plasma over a LCD unless it's a TRU LED TV.

So I went to Costco to check out the Vizio 1080p. At first I was planning to get the 32" but now looking at it seems to be a bit too small... so i decided to get the 37" @ 599.99. Pretty good deal, im happy :)

I don't know about the rest, but I failed you because Sony TV's are not made by Samsung. Last I checked they built the panels together but that was it. You should know all that shit if you're selling them.

Armind 12-09-2009 03:42 PM

Just saw a Sharp 42" for 799.99 at Superstore + there's a no tax thing going on tomorrow. Is it worth it? Not much details of the tv on the flyer =\
