i try to go to http://www.easywash.ca , but it's in north van so it's not that convenient :o

its not really brushes
more like tons of shammy strips hanging going back and forth

skholla 12-10-2009 06:45 PM

I wouldn't touch those "shammy strips" bro... they may be soft but they are heavy as hell, listen to the "thud" sound they make when they bang against your cash. These types and traditional spinner car washes are fun but are not good for your paint. True they won't kill your paint but they will create small scratches in your clear coat, gives you something to do in the summer i guess. Stick to touchless washes to be safe but honestly the only good thorough is a hand wash.

Also check out this ONR stuff that is mentioned here, it's awesome! Check out some vids for proof...

Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine

Harvey Specter 12-10-2009 06:55 PM

I usually wipe down my BMW with ONR and finish it off with a QD in the winter.

124Y 12-10-2009 07:45 PM

Wow... that ONR stuff really is quite awesome eh? I'm very tempted to give it a try!

is your large ONR bottle full? I am partially interested, PM me details please

crazyazn 12-10-2009 10:16 PM

^Let's turn this thread into Mugen Evolution ONR partout thread...I'm interested as well LoL

CP.AR 12-10-2009 10:17 PM

I did a wash last week when it was above zero, the foamy water has collected near the stormdrain and has now been frozen for the past 4 days. I wouldn't suggesting washing your car in this weather unless you do the following:

-Wash it at one of those "Self-serve" wash places (ie: the one at the end of Alexandra in Richmond) and then park it in your garage (where at last water won't turn into ice) and make sure it is as clean as you can possibly get it

- Wash with ONR like most people suggested above.

skholla 12-10-2009 10:55 PM

I have a 32 oz bottle of ONR and plan to buy a 128 oz jug in the future. I came across these bottle proportioners and they look very handy for measuring and pouring liquids from hard to handle jugs. Check it out...

Harvey Specter 12-10-2009 11:02 PM

ONR is fine for the body but I find the biggest thing that bugs me in the winter is the salt under the car. I usually wait for a mild day to pull out the pressure washer and give it a quick rinse.

you're right... but not any better. there was a fifth gear episode that showed what non-touchless carwashes do to your paint and after watching that i would rather leave the car dirty all winter than to spend all summer trying to fix everything

maybe try this (tel contact info):

http://maps.google.ca/maps/place?sou...93587781086389

i usually just pm him from here, and ken usually gets back to me the next following business day.

if he had to answer phones during the day i seriously doubt he could get any work done...

i've bought some stuff from him, but have never had the chance to visit his shop because maple ridge is so far away... thankful that he is willing to ship

[EDIT] meh i just noticed that the PM for his account has been disabled... i don't know why :(

yo apparently autowerks is out of stock

a kind member suggest me to buy it from www.autogeeks.net instead

so im planning to order online, not gonna head down to maple ridge instead

Mugen EvOlutioN 12-11-2009 08:54 AM

or use eshine
http://www.eshine.ca/

they are located in toronto, so their shippn rate will be cheaper

unit 12-11-2009 09:01 AM

or icanpolish, local pickup

Mugen EvOlutioN 12-11-2009 09:10 AM

it works out to be the same ordering eshine

total after taxes and shipping is $65 dollars for the 128oz huge jug

Autowerks is selln for like $52.99 plus taxes its gonna be like $60 bux than driving down there is like another $5-8 dollar of gas.

So i just order online

unit 12-11-2009 09:16 AM

so with ONR, you dont need a rinse bucket?

i still cant wrap my head around this :D
