The roads were three times as good today then they were yesterday morning. The slippery roads combined with people driving to fast for road conditions did take my power last night though, I went to bed at 8:30 because there was nothing to do.... :)

fsy82 12-15-2009 08:47 AM

looks like surrey got a nice dumping yesterday though

They should put up Rick Astley for the Vancouver section on www.theweathernetwork.com. :D

it shouldn't surprise me how bad vancouver really is once snow started, but it always do. Saw this asian lady drive 25-30 while the snow just started and the road was still a road and not snow covered. While the restof the cars were driving 50-60, normal speed.

Another douche incident is me coming home from work, coming down arthur lang, this riced up lowered EK/EG, turned right on his red from miller road onto russ baker, while i was green when i'm just about to cross the intersection from russ baker and miller road. The road had a small amount of snow, the car was either still running on summers or performance tires as he peeled into my lane and proceeded to spin his tires and wheels. Had to hard brake because he wasn't moving.

Horrible driving with just light snowing.

It basically snows for 2 days followed by mild, rainy weather to clean the crap up. Compare that to rest of Canada which is stuck with cold, snowy, arctic like weather until March/April.

I love it, rain all it wants! I hate the snow, can't drive anywhere in my car when it comes down

!Yaminashi 12-15-2009 11:45 AM

Hooray for rain!! I'll take endless rain anyday over snow

Gumby 12-15-2009 11:51 AM

If I had to pick, I would prefer the rain too, as snowy conditions really screw up our traffic.

You know you're getting old when you prefer rain over snow...

Greenstoner 12-15-2009 12:01 PM

my friend who lives in squamish last night saying they had a snowstorm there

twitchyzero 12-15-2009 12:01 PM

i honked some guy the other day b/c he was driving at 15-20km/h on a residential street...this was on the first night where there was NO snow on the road...i'm cool with people being extra-cautious but i thought that was sort of ridiculous.

am i supposed to feel bad that i did that?

if the weather network trolled us for the snow, why r we believing them regarding the rain?

spoon.ek9 12-15-2009 04:06 PM

maybe cuz it's actually raining hard outside? :lol

edit: anyone else notice how dark it was outside at 2:30pm? dark enough for me to use headlights on the way to work..

Alatar 12-15-2009 05:51 PM

I want an assload of snow so everyone whose car isn't prepared for the weather can stay at home and leave the real driving to the people who know how.

your theory is correct.

spoon.ek9 12-15-2009 06:06 PM

too bad people with summer tires/all seasons will still attempt to trek thru it :lol

fliptuner 12-15-2009 08:00 PM

Yup, they'll still try and fuck things up for the good drivers in the process.

Wait til you guys have kids and have to deal with all the shitty drivers when you pick them up from school.

I already have to do that when picking up my little sister. My area is full of rich Chinese moms in expensive SUVs too so they think AWD is invincible.

Acura604 12-21-2009 04:40 PM

sheesh no snow since this thread... i took my snows off and put my all seasons back on lol... tired of waiting for the white stuff. besides, only takes 45mins to do the switcheroo.

spoon.ek9 12-21-2009 04:46 PM

and what are you going to do when you're stuck on the street during a snow storm and your snow tires are at home? ;)
