GabAlmighty 12-14-2009 07:15 PM

Don't have to hit a curb hard for it to do alot of damage, go ahead ask me how I know.

4doorVIP 12-14-2009 07:32 PM

What kind of tires are those? I heard insurance may not cover damage if you run summer tires in the winter. Esp if there is ice on the ground

If the Audi was the FWD version, she might not be able to drive it back to Burnaby ;(

Another reason why I am not driving my car today with my AWD ;)

hotong 12-14-2009 07:46 PM

My lips are fucked up too stupid cold weather, whats a good chapstick/lip balm?

maxx 12-14-2009 08:53 PM

$6k is my estimate

tofu1413 12-14-2009 08:56 PM

guess quattro isnt enough to cover up the mistakes C lais would make..

BEEB 12-14-2009 10:24 PM

If those are OE wheels, complete OE repair would probably run you 4000-6000 from Audi.

fishing666 12-14-2009 10:34 PM

just sell the car as damaged and get a nice corolla

bcedhk 12-14-2009 10:45 PM

is gonna cost you at least 2.5k.

the rim repair will cost you at least 400 since is OEM.

a G is not even close, shes likely looking at a new lca, maybe a knuckle, tca, control arm, and maybe a sway bar. its an audi. might as well start looking at a new one. my est is ~4-5G,

asahai69 12-15-2009 12:40 AM

hopefully it costs a shit load so ur buddys mom learns her lesson and slows the fuck down when the weather is garbage.

Carmex Lip Balm is supposed to be really good and highly recommended.

SkinnyPupp 12-15-2009 01:08 AM

Glad she didn't hurt herself or anyone else with her poor driving. Just because it's "quattro" doesn't mean you drive at full speed in bad road conditions.

thumper 12-15-2009 05:59 AM

better start hitting the phone book for euro auto wreckers for used 2006 parts because new oem is going to cost a bitch

too_slow 12-15-2009 06:48 AM

I can guarantee you that it will cost you over $4000 if you brought it into Audi..

Presto 12-15-2009 08:27 AM

The rim alone is probably $800 or more.

AVS_Racing 12-15-2009 08:39 AM

OP post updates, im interested in how this C Lai drama unfolds

jigjag 12-15-2009 08:39 AM

I did almost the exact same thing w my fx35 back in oct. I posted a "help" thread here somewhere but never got around to updating w/ pics or end costs...
Anyway, oem shit is big $$$. I was hoping it would be a g or two so I could pay it out and no go thru icbc. No luck. I needed lower cont arm, upper ca, wheel bearing, my rim was bent, my headlight housing was cracked too. All in all total repair cost was like 7500. Mind u a stock 20" rim alone is 1600, and the hl housing was 1300. Anyhow, shit adds up quick. Btw my ride feels better drivin now than before. If ur lookn for a car and it has a big claim on it, u shouldn't rule it out automatically. But still, sux having a ding that big on an otherwise unmolested car.
But ya, urs gonna cost ~5500 if done thru Audi (which u should IMO).

Cheers

with that wheel being worth so much coin... is it worth repairing? it still holds air so i'm assuming it's not cracked...
