Don't think so.

Only open at night, IIRC.

Razor Ramon HG 01-03-2010 03:40 PM

Hmm, interesting. But at least Little Cattle is opened starting lunch hours on the weekend (the only time I'd be able to go anyways).

You can pay $5 more for unlimited seafood and a GOOD soup base anywhere else!

Alot of girls I know love that place and every single time I go it's thier birthday or something. I kinda HAVE to go to those, and I complain every single time lol

Last year was especially bad. I probably went to 4 birthdays there. Ugh.

willystyle 01-03-2010 11:33 PM

I went to Fatty Cow tonight, it's not bad, pretty decent. I'm gonna start going here now cause I dun wanna make the drive down to Richmond.

UnDeadMage 01-10-2010 11:33 PM

at least there's finally a hot pot place in vancouver that is relatively good and decent

It's your friend's birthday, she's the reason why you're going, so why does the food even matter? everything else should be secondary. If you don't like the food, order something else, or choose not to eat.

Thank god my GF hates that place to hell - she claims that it's nothing special.. which is VERY VERY true

calbeeee 01-12-2010 09:17 PM

Well considering the establishment only serves AYCE, I don't think he has a choice. It's standard rules that everybody that sits at the table must pay the AYCE fee, it's to prevent ghetto superstars from claiming "Oh I'm just chilling with my friends" then the moment you turn around they start stealing food off other plates haha. Also considering if you're already there and you were forced to pay like $15 or whatever outrageous amount for the cabbage and corn then you might as well have some (however bad it is) rather than sit there like a tree stump. :p

Aahahah so true, same with my GF! *high five*
She'd much rather have regular Hotpot!

Oh and they finally have Plum Drink now? Sweeeet! IMO that "Chicken Bone Grass" isn't very good ... even the name of it screams "wtf?"

i like it there, its food was pretty decent and came in big proportions. however, i just don't understand why would there be extra charge for things like onions, satay and cilantro and other add ons....

hotong 01-15-2010 10:21 PM

gonna try this place hopefully this week.

Don't they do that at all the Hotpots nowadays? I remember back in the day even AYCE Japanese restaurants were charging 50 cents for extra lemon slices!

keifun 01-16-2010 01:18 AM

went there today. They charged us $7.50 for clear soup base, wtf?

I've been to other places and clear soup base is included in the price, unless you want the others (spicy, satay..etc.)

Obsideon 01-16-2010 05:21 AM

They put stuff in the clear soup base don't they?

carisear 01-16-2010 01:40 PM

went there last night -- first thing i noticed, THEY ALL SPOKE PERFECT ENGLISH ... wtf?!

i'd go again, simply because it isn't as busy as richmond places (yet) although it was a couple bucks more than i'm used to paying.

calbeeee 01-21-2010 06:23 PM

they are pretty busy on the weekends.
I really like their fried fish skin, everytime i go they have it.

umpadupa 02-03-2010 08:04 PM

its pretty decent actually,

they we booked at 7:15 got our table at 7:30ish thats fine
fast service, good food, im not a sea food buff.. but my mom loves oysters and she said they were fresh as fk.
didnt get any orders mixed up... always around pouring tea and adding hot water for the pot

price is better then little fat lamb? i dont remeber but its pretty good.

i would definetly go back since the stupid ruckus cant go over 55km/h so i cant go 2 richmond....

calbeeee 02-17-2010 06:33 PM

I went there for dinner last night, it was packed with people around 7ish.
I went with 3 other frds.
We tried two soup bases, hot & spicy and spare ribs broth. i personally like the hot & spicy one more.
the foods came out fast.
their seafood was fresh and the oyster was HUGE.

when we leave, the manager gave us a red flyer.

starting from Feb 20, they will give out a scallop per person for all you can eat hot pot.

I've called the next day to reserve a table already on Feb 21.
