Ended up ordering Motul 8100 X-cess 5W40 from DBC Performance because they're running a free shipping promo, along with some TSI specific filters. For 39.99USD for a 5L jug can't go wrong with something like that. 2 jugs plus another small bottle to top up in between changes.

Should be here in a week at Point Roberts.

if your not in a rush 1l castrol syntec does go on sale often enough at can tire. i bought a crap load of 0w30 syntec a couple of weeks ago for $6.70/L

MB Broadway sells oil at about $8/L. Price is nothing special but they have the full Euro-synthetic stuff. I don't know if they have 15W-50 though.

I dun recall CanTire selling German Castrol. They have M1 0W40 tho and that goes for $10/qt.

If you can find me German Castrol (0W30 Castrol Syntec, says "Made in EU" or "Made in Germany" on the back) that would be awesome. I'll take 6 bottles if they have it! I don't think I'm going to go with Mobil 1...

K taking off right now, I'll grab the Castrol if they have it.

They had that brand and viscosity but it was made in the US and there was only 1 5qt. jug left.



Hondaracer - they had a bunch of your Mobil 1 15/50 Synthetics there but I didn't know if you made other arrangements and didn't want to chance spending the $70US, so I didn't grab any. FYI they're $22/5qt (4.73L) jug.


I only went to the one in Bellingham. They didn't even have Rotella or Cheveron 15/40 there. I'm sure the bigger stores have better selection.

CT has really good rainchecks.. I usually get 2 or 3 boxes at a time.
