Cheapest mobil 1?

need to buy 12L of it so cheaper the better lol

looking for 15/50 if it matters, i thought walmart had it cheap but when i looked they had nothing?

cdizzle_996 12-16-2009 05:35 PM

Superstore.

TOPEC 12-16-2009 05:40 PM

superstore has the 15-50, but only in small bottles, didnt see any jugs.

hk20000 12-16-2009 05:56 PM

OP wants 2L so you are stuck with buying 2 1L bottles.

Hondaracer 12-16-2009 05:56 PM

is the price difference much in buying the jugs VS 1L?

hk20000 12-16-2009 06:41 PM

jugs are usually cheaper per unit.

cdizzle_996 12-16-2009 06:56 PM

Superstore is usually $8.99 per 1L and $34.99 per 4.4L jug.

if you are bored and need other stuff, take a drive down to walmart in bellingham

24 hrs a day, mobil one is $22 for a 4 liter jug

obviously, only worth it if you buying other stuff as well

canadian tire has a sale $35 rite now

I don't think they carry Mobil 1. They carry Castrol GTX, Castrol Syntex and Shell oils iirc.

Anyone know where I can find the 0W-40 Mobil 1 for VW cars around here? Or German Castrol 0W-30?

godwin 12-17-2009 06:51 PM

Canadian tire on grandview.. it is weird though, a nice store but crappily understaff with idiot staff.. the castrol is on the 2nd floor and mobil1 is on the first.

only in 1L jugs (vs in the US you get the big ones).. and about 10 bucks / L

It is a bit cheaper at MR Smith.. or from a guy in N Van on BimmerClassics (he advertises at 7/L)

Hm, point me to this guy on Bimmerclassics? I can't google MR Smith for any useful results.

godwin 12-17-2009 07:51 PM

M.R. Smith is in Burnaby.. they are where the gas tanks are at the hill.. they are the Esso distributor.. should be in the phone book.

BimmerClassics just log on and search for Mobil1.

why 15w50? is it a diesel?

Superstore used to have these Porsche approved 5W50 M1 Full Syn.

If you really want 15W50, try US.

godwin 12-17-2009 09:50 PM

15W50 are recommended for older european cars.

AFAIK all M1 are Porsche approved.. the tricky ones are VW and BMW approvals.

Always read the latest factory bulletin for the make of the car you want to purchase oil for are on their recommended list.

If the OP doesn't mind Castrol Syntec.. Canadian Tire is having 4.4L + 1L sale again

5.4L for 30.99 US grades though, no German 0W30
