god you guys are so retarded.... they weren't released let go no further trial.... ITS A FUCKING BAIL CONDITION, THEY STILL HAVE TO GO TO COURT AND FACE A TRIAL

Vansterdam 12-17-2009 06:25 AM

At a news conference afterwards, U.S. Attorney Jenny Durkan said her office would oppose any attempt by Roueche to transfer back to Canada to serve his sentence.

She said normally any offender in the U.S. serves at least 85 percent of his or her sentence.

StylinRed 12-17-2009 06:30 AM

Yeah i remember reading that, it'd be cool if they're successful in stopping his transfer to Canada but the DA doesn't have much say in that

Supafly 12-17-2009 07:21 AM

in canada, if you get caught with a concealed firearm; its a one night stay in a holding cell and a one day court trial that results in a some fines and restrictions...
in USA, if you get caught with a firearm; you get a 10 yr sentence..
true story.

XxFcukxX 12-17-2009 07:24 AM

and people still fuck around in the states..

I agree it's a government policy problem, but a thanks or fail depends on which direction you think the policy should change...

Then I'll bite my wrists through the jacket

you face a possibility of a fine or 5-10 fucken years in Jail in Canada (max) depending on the conditions..... jesus christ

download the criminal code its free and in pdf format on the department of justice canada website
http://laws.justice.gc.ca/en/C-46/

carrying weapons charges starts around the 80s-90s

in the states they hand out Concealed Carry Weapon permits faster than drivers licenses (heck just type concealed weapon united states in google, even if u type illegal in the search string all you get are links on how to get permits and links on how the law is making it easier for ppl to get/carry concealed weapons)

Mkhun 12-17-2009 10:04 AM

hope he's not coming back after 30 yrs..

im very involved in this 'system' you speak of; i was involved as a volunteer worker and student and for my career

you distort the facts and when confronted you're still trying to keep the bs alive..

at first i thought you were ignorant but now its obvious you have an ulterior motive

Our justice system is extremely weak, all the criminals around the world know it too. That's why they all flock here to do business.

That would be funny to see.

A guy I know,he works for Riverview hospital,he's a nurse/security there.

Whenever he throws a party,he lets the crowd know that whoever decides to leave and drive drunk will be wearing this tonight, locked in a room(he holds up the straight jacket for everyone to see).

It works pretty well, only 3 people have ever worn it.

yeah... no. 2 friends of mine got busted, one took the blame, served a year (This was like 4-5 years ago).
Canada is not that lax to only give u fines... I would say Jail time is guaranteed but the length depends on the circumstances.

All I know about the candian law system, is that one of my best friends 15 year old brother was murdered, and the killer, with a history of violence only did 3 years time. The kicker, is he did more than half of it BEFORE his court date, in his home, then was let off on good behavior.

I'm not sure he did more than 6 months in jail, for stabbing a 15 year old to death, at 19, with a history of violence.

makes you want to kill someone, as long as you aren't street racing while doing so....

when i say "been through the system" i mean being on the criminal side. Im put my 2cents in because i certainly have "been through the system" and got released on a few fines and an overnighter in the VPD cell followed by a court date a month later to only get a slap on the wrist...
Im not proud of my history, but i can say that when you get caught with a concealed weapon ( ie. loaded firearm) the justice system wont really come down hard if it's your first offense. A good lawyer will also get your charges dropped regardless if you are truely guilty or not.

btw, can you not have a debate without name being such a douche ?..I think you need to do a bit more research in the database and pull up some files and get a real look on case studies...You clearly dont have any experience in the feild you say you "volunteer" in.. read a pdf file, and you think you're king shit.

Supafly is right on this, I've seen this happened too many times with my friends/acquaintances.
