btw, price match at FS. They'll match and beat the difference by 10%. The sub is $300 at FS so the difference is $200. 10% of that is $20, so each sub will be $80.

wow.

just did that, grabbed the last two from pine and broadway, total was $201.58 ... awesome haha and 3 year service plan is only $20 .. get it for one sub, and use it for whichever one blows.

Well alot of big box stores have very leneint return policy, which in turn many people will abuse the system by purchasing it and returning a defective one.

Hard to tell for sure unless you try it out. Either way you should be able to return it. There might even be a serial number you can check on the sub and the box to see if they match. I'm not 100% Alpine puts serial numbers on their subs.

Can anyone recommend me an amp? I currently have a 2 channel amp powering my 2 components up front. Since I now have this sub, I didn't plan for it before and now i'll need an amp to power it. I don't want to buy a 2nd amp because i'll have to rerun some wire thru the firewall and doing that once is enough for a lifetime. I would rather replace my 2 channel amp with a 4 channel and bridge 2 of the channels to power the Type R. It's RMS power is rated at 500 watts. Can anyone recommend me an amp to power the sub?

thanks

We have some new and used amps that maybe we could do a trade on. What kind of 2 channel do you have?
