To make a s2k better..... v6

http://blogs.insideline.com/straight...mb-717x477.jpg

that's a s2kcr with a 3.7Litre v6 from a 09 acura TL; 305 hp and 273 lb.-ft. of torque. This would be better, right?

orange7 12-19-2009 12:57 AM

wow.. it actually fits...

!Aznboi128 12-19-2009 01:00 AM

^ yea, I was surprised too. Best thing its still sits behind the front wheels to have a better weight distribution

snowball 12-19-2009 02:24 AM

an s2000 with some torque, i like that

tamazoid 12-19-2009 02:59 AM

Wow! Should go pretty good! It's probably already 1000 pounds less than the TL SH-AWD...

Mkhun 12-19-2009 03:55 AM

WOW ! any vids? must be flying!

RabidRat 12-19-2009 04:40 AM

there have been a lot more fun engine swaps with the s2000, but the fact that Honda did this makes it just so much better!

Leopold Stotch 12-19-2009 04:47 AM

hmm what sorta trans did they use? not that it matters, just interested

tonyvu 12-19-2009 05:15 AM

fuck that thing must flyyyy

asian_XL 12-19-2009 05:59 AM

so it is FWD?

RabidRat 12-19-2009 06:16 AM

layout's still transverse; looks like they fabricated a new setup so the motor will do FR.

!Aznboi128 12-19-2009 07:00 AM

no vids, no info, it's fr, not sure what tranny

umpadupa 12-19-2009 08:34 AM

"recently modified by Honda Performance Development (HPD), has the 3.7-liter V6 from the Acura TL SH-AWD"

reading the source... could it be awd? parts from the tl?

nah no way. the car's out of production now, there's especially no reason for them to go so far out of their way with R&D to throw an AWD system on a chassis that was never intended for it. imo.

GabAlmighty 12-19-2009 09:09 AM

Why didn't they just put a v8 in it?

Mugen EvOlutioN 12-19-2009 09:33 AM

shit that is sick, new TL's engine

 drool

jeff_alexander 12-19-2009 09:40 AM

I hope they didn't ruin the weight distribution on this thing. Somehow a more powerful engine for me doesn't always make it better. I'd still prefer a high-strung motor myself.

alwaysideways 12-19-2009 09:56 AM

Pfff....V6 ....why not inline 6! :)

spoon.ek9 12-19-2009 10:43 AM

interesting development!

BrendanS 12-19-2009 11:14 AM

Would rather have a VQ35HR in there

maxx 12-19-2009 06:30 PM

weight distribution...

its too nose heavy. the car is fairly light but the engine, even in the tsx v6, is too heavy

XtC-604 12-19-2009 06:38 PM

high strung FTW, what honda should of done as a wow factor is a factory stroked turbo s2000

Dinan3 12-19-2009 07:11 PM

I don't know man. Some people buy the car for its engine.
