Shipping Questions for selling things in N/A?

Hi, im just trying to figure out some details in terms of shipping items sold on ebay etc. i cant really find the exact numbers or locations as to where i can get all the different shipping options?

firstly i'm looking to send smaller prints, hockey cards, etc. so they are fairly small packages, but i'm looking to send them via a Priority Courier type thing, an insured package that i can send within Canada OR into the USA

can i do this type of thing at your local CanadaPost type place or do i have to go to like UPS, etc. to do it?

where was the item located, well where is the seller located?

if its in the states, the cheapest is to have it mailed to a place like blaine or point roberts, THEN go pick it up urself.

once any mailed item crosses the border, because canada and us are still seperate countries. all those documents that need to be filled, will cost you. they hire someone to do that, and thus u pay for their paycheck, their companies overheard, revenue, expenses, and their profit.

in your case, u are the seller, so to find shipping prices, go to the puralator, USPS, UPS, canada post sites, and u can get price quotes via the sizing and weight of the box you will be sending.

yes, you can send it priority to canada or us with canada post. you receive tracking and an option of signature for $1.50
or a cheaper option is by xpresspost which is fairly quick as well. tracking and sig. option for $1.50
or you can send mail as registered, with a tracking number and signature included

Canada Post's "courier" service would be Purolator. If you're just looking for signature required type mail service try Registered mail.

I would send via Registered Mail for hockey cards. I believe it costs the same as regular mail but you pay $7.xx extra for a confirmation number, insurance and signature upon delivery.
