skylinergtr 04-22-2012 09:58 PM

my dad has triple 8's, and he loves these plates to death.

no, our family is not asian haha.

SumAznGuy 04-22-2012 10:13 PM

I remember back in the late 90's when it was cool to have an HKS lettered plate, just like the P-car guys and their 996/997 plates.

325isMSPORT 04-23-2012 01:36 AM

i only got 335 :okay: but i drive a 325

let's break up 163 in cantonese.

16 or one-six sounds like "keep on"
3 sounds like "giving birth"

hence, 163 can become keep on giving birth

Expresso 04-23-2012 12:01 PM

I'm in the market for a new LP, wonder if anyone has any updates for this thread?

Might give a couple places a call, definitely not a need just a want haha.

tiger_handheld 04-23-2012 02:29 PM

if anyone finds a 604 DAK plate - let me know :)

k3mps 04-23-2012 03:26 PM

hmm i'd love 000SKY

68style 04-23-2012 04:55 PM

Am I missing something here? What the fuck difference does it make what your stupid license plate says?

BorLorBao 04-23-2012 05:10 PM

^ it is just preference. Just because you don't give a holey shirt about it doesn't mean others don't.

or instead of "giving birth" it could also mean "live" which was how i understood it as. lol

Its kinda like having a easy format of numbers thats simple to remember, sorta like your cell number. Anyone remember back in late 90s when you activate a phone from Rogers and before you sign the contact, the rep offers a clipboard with all the available numbers...you would try to find a string of easy numbers.

The number 8 is something preferred by some asian but whatever floats ppls boat.

I knew something who got 000-GPS...hahah...
Another friend got MAN-122 in 1998...he was so upset that 123 was taken lol...

Duff Beer 04-23-2012 10:08 PM

Saw a sweet smokey granite mica (I think it's called..) Lexus IS last night on Kingsway, all the way from Vancouver area to about Joyce. [888 xxx] plate :)

Mr.C 04-23-2012 10:38 PM

Hm, new project. Find a plate with 740 on it. Maybe BMW 740, although that would have to be custom.

ShadowBun 04-24-2012 09:58 PM

Anyone know any place with 888 plate?

belaud 04-24-2012 09:59 PM

someone find me an 666 STI or STI 666 plate :okay:

jackmeister 04-24-2012 10:07 PM

i got myself an 888 plate. this is after bugging my insurance dude for 8 years and referring friends, family & co-workers to him.

ShadowBun 04-24-2012 10:19 PM
