| HDMI Cable where to buy cheap
I just bought a new tv on boxing day and want to hook the new laptop up to it. Where can I buy HDMI cables cheap. I need 10ft and over. I remember I saw a news story awhile ago saying that the ones at Future Shop are over priced.
Anyone know of a place locally?
Any help would be appreciated.

Just because I'm feeling helpful, I looked up the lowest prices at the sites for you:
20 foot cable at Monoprice: $18.55 USD
20 foot cable at NCIX: $40.00 CAD
20 foot cable at Future Shit: $200 CAD |

I would say closer to $2 per foot normally but there are often sales where they get significantly cheaper. I got a couple 6ft ones at NCIS on boxing day for 3.99 which is pretty dirt cheap.
Anything you buy that isn't the Monster crap from FS is a smart move.

no difference in image quality. Digital signal = all 0s and 1s. You get the full picture or none at all.

^ +1
So don't go wasting 100 dollars on 4ft of cable from Future Shop - sure there might be shielding, but pretty much all cables have a minimal amount these days, you simply don't need military spec cables to run a home theatre

i remember when i was first building my home theatre and i needed a 25 foot HDMI cable to run to my projector
for shits i went into FS and asked the home theatre guy how much a 25 footer would cost
he told me to go to the poco one because they are the "home theatre specicialists" the guy said he was fairly confident they could do it for me for under $750

Case in point, this skinny guy comes into the gym the other day, must have only weighed ~ 140lbs, loads on 2 plates on the bench rack, mutters to himself, for sparta, unracks the barbell and proceeds to drop it directly on his chest.

just buy from those guys on craiglist
they sell them dirt cheap comparing to FS
and it works
I also have a monster cable which came with the purchase of my HDTV (Convinced the sale person to throw it in)
I see no difference when I use the monster one.
cable really doesnt matter much as long as the spec is right imo

FS/BB must be retarded if they think people are gonna buy an HDMI cable for $750... that costs more than the TV itself
