Vancouver carjacking leaves 4 injured

Quote:
An apparent carjacking on West Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver left four people injured Tuesday morning.

The incident took place just before 11 a.m. PT when witnesses say a man attempted to steal a car after an altercation with the driver in a crosswalk near Cambie Street.

The man then reversed up the street into oncoming traffic, dragging three other men who tried to intervene along with him.

Details remain unclear, but according to eyewitness accounts, the incident began when the driver of a black BMW and the suspect got in an argument at the crosswalk.

Saw this on the news. Might have even been a roadrage incident. Why would someone ever jump onto someones elses car and then get into that car and drive it into a building. Idiots!

The guy was probably high on drugs looking for quick money.

"Witnesses said the man threw himself on the hood of the car after it came to a stop at the crosswalk. The driver of the car then got out of the vehicle to go into a nearby hotel to get assistance.

The suspect jumped in the car, which still had at least one female passenger in it, according to witnesses. At least two men walking by on the street attempted to intervene and pull the suspect from the vehicle, they said.

In the ensuing struggle, the suspect put the car in reverse and backed up into oncoming traffic, striking three other vehicles before crashing into the ground floor of the newly completed CBC building.

According to witnesses, at least three people were injured, including the suspect, who was described as a homeless person, the woman in the vehicle, and at least one of the men who was dragged up the street by the vehicle."

If a homeless person jumped on my hood I'd put car in reverse to shake him off, carefully drive around him and off I go on my merry way.

The car looks like an E92 coupe with aftermarket wheels and side-mount plate. Sorry for small pics (from News1130 story)

wasn't this discussed before where pedestrians (usually homeless with no value to society) pretend to get hit by a car in order to get money out of it?

Are you actually siding with the homeless person just because some guy on RS said the driver was at fault simply because he was driving a BMW?

No words to describe this. Shows just how desperate (and mentally unstable) some people are.

The dude ran into a hotel and left his female companion in the car? What kind of pussy is this guy? Speaking of pussy, bet he's not getting any for a LONG time.

according to the province, witnesses said it wasn't a homeless person and that the suspect was actually well dressed. there are some conflicting details between all the different news groups covering this story. it's a better idea to wait for all the facts instead of making assumptions.
