I see no problem with this. If we're at war with a country, then citizens of that country should not be trusted. Profiling will without a doubt inconvenience many innocent people from those countries, yet that's better than inconveniencing many citizens of our country.

Remember, they have a choice too. They can choose not to come to our country, or to help us fight those who spread hatred in their country.

This is why country of origin must be used. Any race, and religion, any gender - yet from an area of the world known to harbor hatred towards us.

The real complete solution is to target the source and "educate"? and make that change. This type of prevention can only go so far and there is always a way around it...

These machines won't stop suicide bombers from detonating devices stored in their rectums nor will they stop hazardous materials that can be ingested and then later detonated.

We're not at war with Saudi Arabia but they were the majority of bombers in 9/11...

Just a thought to ponder.

FYI

Quote:

INTENSIVE SCREENING for citizens of 14 countries - or travelers flying to the US from them - will be enforced at airports worldwide. The countries are Cuba, Iran, Sudan and Syria (considered ''state sponsors of terrorism'' by the US), Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Algeria, Lebanon, Libya, Iraq, Somalia and Yemen (considered ''countries of interest'' by the US).

Remind yourself: if you are stuck working in the American wing of the airport you would be starting at naked fat chicks all day... and i mean OBESE. The only thing they would be stashing are some BK burgers.

One thing for certain is that nudists won't have a problem with this. I think that this increase in security is what Al Quesa would want. Although they aren't doing any physical harm they are doing pyschological harm to those who are sensitive about who sees them naked. Imagine how insecure some people are with their appearance. Now imagine if other people you know had access to these. LOL sounds a little farfetched but it's an idea. Maybe terrorists just want the western world to look like jackasses from the ammount of security precautions they are taking? People die every day, but it's difficult living in humilation. Or mayve this is all just some sort of excuse for the government to gain intel regarding the people in the country. Just my thoughts...

Yea...

You would think muslim extremists would want to prevent these sort of airport scanners. These are the same people who keep their wives completely covered to selfishly be the only one to see their beauty. Now some airport pedobear will beable to.

I don't think these extremists are planning on traveling anywhere outside of the their "holy sacred land". Even if they do travel, do you think they would have these installed in their own country? Its the US thats completely paranoid and taking safety to this level. And these complete body scans would be another reason the extremists would use to get their people to return to their land.

I predict Saudi Arabia and the UAE will install these, they do too much business with the US not to comply with the travel rules that all passengers must be scanned.

We're having a border dispute with Denmark and I'll be goddamned if any Lutefisk eating Dane is gonna get the drop on me. I remain dilligant in my duties as a Canadian to ensure the safety of my nation.
God bless Canada and I think we should round up not only Danes but all these people from these Scandanavian countries and put em in some goddamned camp so we can watch em.
Why should I have to worry about my safety as long as this menace can freely enter the country via Hans Island and do god knows what while they're here.

Sorry Bjohanselnjorson, not in MY country!

If I can get through quicker no problem at all. I hate taking my shoes or sweater off and getting patted down.

I agree.
I would rather have my body scanned then to have my body parts all over some building.

Unless they can think of some other measures to implement, i am all ears.

jeffh 01-04-2010 02:09 PM

id rahter have some greasy EI security stare at my junk via camera then grab a big handful of it during a pat down

id also rather have the same guy stare at my gf's tits than grab them either

the amount of freedoms we keep giving up in the name of security is a little alarming however. im all for racial or religious profiling, its just a reality of the world we live in

Don't they already do this ? I mean profiling in general.

E.g. Young single male will be questioned more than an individual with his family. Same goes for the guy that may look like he's part of a motorcycle gang.

Stereotying is in our genes. We see a tiger, we run, we dun question its intentions. I dun get why ppl make it sound so bad.

Every increased security measure means the terrorists are winning...

How do you racially profile the person below? You can't and the terrorist know this and are recruiting people who can slip through racial profiling.

some will always slip through and that will happen with anyone. But we are better off to racially profile the group which will/has caused the terrorist attacks. Everyone does it face the facts. I'm not a rasist at all but in certian aspects like this you have to be its in human nature.
