Would you be ok with having your body scanned at the airport? There's a big debate going on the US right now about body scanners and personal privacy, so my question is how many of you would be ok with having your body scanned? And on the topic of body scanners, I heard a few days ago that Al-Qaeda already has a body scanning type machine and have been using it to see what they can hide and what they can't hide. I've also read that Al-Qaeda has made dry runs and have successful passed security with explosives. Makes you think what other techniques they've figured out which we don't know about yet. TSA tries to assuage full-body scan concerns http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34684245...ashington_post |
Happy to not be American |
it really depends what they are scanning...they can't see much from a quick scan and not harm us at the same time |
IMO Tougher security will only make normal people suffer, and not do anything to stop terrorists... if they want to do something they will find a way around it - ultimately it all comes down to screen the people, not the goods But if the body scanner is what they are proposing (images aren't saved unless suspicious, and viewed only by someone in a seperate room elsewhere) then no I don't really have a problem |
I don't have a problem with it. The TSA wants to step up their game and this is a non-invasive way to do it. |

I have no problem with it. Privacy is an illusion in our society, there's no such thing anymore. |
a censored pic http://whereismydata.files.wordpress.../body-scan.jpg source: http://whereismydata.wordpress.com/2...s-at-airports/ imo...seems pretty intrusive....but I guess this is a reminder of the times we live in today. |
no problem with it, it helps the safety concern |
Not to sound rasist or anything but its time to start to Target certain nationalitys. Ya this day and age your not supposed To be saying things like that but truthfully its the people From the middle east and muslims that are causeing this scare Put them through extra searches for now until they find A better way to deal with are safety. And about the scan I honetly don't care, sure scan me I have Nothing to hide, if it prevents someone on the plane from Blowing my ass up scan me all you like!!! Posted via RS Mobile |

They ask what religion you are. Posted via RS Mobile |
First you say "target nationalities" and now you've moved on to religion. Are you confusing the two? Quote:

Here's a link to a passport application. It never asks for religion and I'm sure most of the watchdog groups would have kicked up a huge fuss if it did ask for religion as it should have ZERO bearing on whether one gets a passport or not. |
Well I know for a fact in britian they have it because people Have jedi knight as religion and have it on there passports My buddy even got it on his canadian one since he has dual Citizenship. Its just a option you can pick if you wish Posted via RS Mobile |

Fail. Jailbait is gonna be the huge problem with this... I'd be choked if there was some creepy/unknown dude looking at my daughter naked.. The real complete solution is to target the source and "educate"? and make that change. This type of prevention can only go so far and there is always a way around it... |
