Missing the expiration date on licensce renewal?

Is there any penalty for missing the renewal date on your licensce? Other than the fact that you can't drive for a bit

i think he means from icbc for not renewing before the plate expires. not if he were to drive with expired tags...

Lol, I fail.

In that case... No, if you miss it, nothing will happen. Just make sure you don't have any outstanding payments, or you won't be able to renew your insurance.

No, but if you are found driving with an expired licence, there is a ticket for that, and likely a tow if there are no other licenced drivers in the vehicle who can take over. The fine is nowhere near a no insurance ticket, though I believe it should be.

If you are a driver without a valid DL, you cannot drive the vehicle away, you can get a VT and if you were in a crash, as ICBC says....that fact "may invalidate the certificate"...ie...nada insurance coverage if they choose.

The lesson learned should have been to never let the wife make a decision to cheap on something she cannot do herself.

If she didn't want to pay the delivery fee, it should be up to her to bring the couch home.

Probably a good idea to check your friend's driver's licence to ensure it is valid too before you let him/her drive your car.
