Generally, the hit team will involve about five people — the shooter, the back-up shooter, the driver, the spotter and the body-disposal guy.

the cops said that because thats the way the cops do it ....

Why have 5 people? Why not just get one really good sniper to wait for him and pick him off from 1 km away?

Step outside your house, is there anything in front of you???

.22 Rifle
+ subsonic bullets

Maybe the sniper can curve the bullet around any obstacles?

Psykopathik 01-06-2010 12:12 AM

i find it funny that some people think there is honor among anyone, nevermind thieves. Criminals are the last people anyone should trust LOL!

You do realize a silencer does nothing to supress the noise right, it's still going to be loud, nothing like the movies.

slammer111 01-06-2010 01:56 AM

Wow, this guy's hooped.

you're right, it's gonna be nothing like the movie. It's going to be even quieter.

a .22 with subsonic rounds, and a silencer?

the only thing you'll be hearing is the hammer hitting the blast cap, the slide going back and forth, the shell hitting the ground, and the round landing wherever it lands.

this is an old video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfmdrCdg77U

you gotta realise, both are using sub sonic ammunition (no sonic boom, sounds like a whip crack), and both suppressors are wet (it helps reduce the noise).

Oh wait, when you hold your gun sideways gangsta style, you can't hit shit. That's why you need a backup shooter and need to be within 10ft to make sure you get him.

...i can't even tell if you're being sarcastic here. First you know how many people can hit something 1km away? second even a sniper team works in twos.

third, where are you going to obtain such a weapon that can fire that far with accuracy? the rounds have to be specialized too.

it's much cheaper and easier and you have a higher chance of success with an up close and personal uhh message delivery system.

snipers are "cool" and all but people really over glorify them and have a real misconception of what they are capable of, and what their jobs really are. just cuz someone can shoot straight, doesn't make them a capable sniper, at all.

TRD Rs200 01-06-2010 09:06 AM

oh shit, hes so fucked. he will either die on the streets, die in jail or life time in jail

hal0g0dv2 01-06-2010 09:20 AM

ok if the sniper team does not work and the subsonic bullets dont
there is always this guy

isn't there something that silences the hammer as well? remember hearing about something like that

hal0g0dv2 01-06-2010 11:27 AM

what are subsonic rounds ?

I'm being somewhat sarcastic, but also serious.

Remember that Washington sniper who killed all those people shooting from his car? He was pretty damn effective on his own.

I just think it's funny how all these "shootouts" go when there are bullets flying everywhere and 1 or 2 actually hit something. Anyone in the military (or even an experienced hunter) must laugh at the ineptitude of these guys.

The only sound you will hear with a subsonic round is the hammer.. The bang you hear is the sonic boom. If the bullet doesnt go supersonic it doesnt make a sonic boom.
Especially if you can get away with hitting the target with the first shot nobody should notice it.

They are bullets that dont go faster then the speed of sound.

Here is an example

This is with a 308 which is a bigger bullet then a .22..
