well when the black pastic casing cracks and breaks up from smacking u, exposing whats inside, it'll hurt even more. it's 2 steel wire, about 12-14gauge in size, twisted together, and that shit hurttttttttttt.

i got beat by the dusters when i was younger. but the worst one was when my mom threw thats right threw the broom at me. And it wasnt the bristle end she threw towards me it was the handle end got me right in the middle of my back because i was running away. Now that hurt but i turned out good

i got smacked with...wooden broom handles,an unlimited supply bamboo sticks(grew outside my house), dusters, a skipping rope. back back scratcher. the worst was the bamboo stick.

no matter what i did with them, they just found a new one outside

IMO, spanking and "beating" your kids are two totally different things. My parents hated spanking but did it anyways. Man did I learn quick... Now "beating" your kids whenever they do some tiny thing wrong and taking your ANGER (this is the difference b/w spaking and beating, my parent were never fuming with anger when they did it) out on you rkids is what fucks them up.

I got that too, plus a belt, plus having some of my toys smashed with a hammer in some instances.

Ah damn this thread brings back painful memories ... it all started with the palm then when I started to get more immune to that it turned into the brown feather duster.. I always figured it probably didn't even work that well on actual dust since it just brushes everything to the ground... then when I got really sick & tired of it I hid it away but her alternative was a fucking metal wire coat hanger that she squeezed into a rod!... :cry: ... after a couple sessions of those I gave the duster back :(

You have to know your child, spanking works on some, but it's useless on others. You should also never spank your kid when you're angry.

most parents who are trying to educate their kid are not angry when they are spanking them. they are usually almost in tears... i mean no parent should WANT to hit their kid, but sometimes spanking is the only thing that will get through to them.... all this child abuse shit is going too far, kids need to learn their boundaries
