i bet this whole thing is gonna scare some of the tourist away which would make us lose more money

3seriesBeeM 01-06-2010 10:34 PM

Hopefully it was just a clerical error and not some plot with terrorists

why do i have a feeling something big is gonna go down during the Olympics?

Cause for 2 weeks the world will be watching and practically be in your city. Where ever the olympics are hosted people get a tad bit nervous/scared. However everything will go as planned and nothing will happen.

Feel free to fail me if a building gets blown up though lol

ud think they'd be the ones investigating and not the rcmp... unless they're the ones who stole the explosives ;) hence why the rcmp is like "whatever"

I think it's a safe bet to say that I don't mind living in Surrey because there's nothing to blow up in Surrey.

hkover9000 friendly advice: stay away from olympic venues at all costs.

There's no more iffy time to see explosive missing and we are the least prepared city/country for this kind of bullshit.

i think if anyone ever went to plant a bomb besides the olympic venues, it'd be at the skytrain stations. we'd all be fucked

The government is gonna blow up something & then blame it on the terrorists so they get more funding to pay for their stupid deficits. I KNEW it

zulutango 01-07-2010 12:53 PM

Ah, they found out nothing was missing and it was a clerical error...they mis-counted. On RCMP media website.

Vancouver: A statistical error is being blamed for an inventory discrepancy involving two tonnes of ammonium nitrate that could not be accounted for. At approximately 5:00 PM today, a representative from Kinder Morgan, the company responsible for the product, notified the RCMP that the source of the discrepancy was a clerical inventory error. All product is accounted for and nothing is missing.

Based on this new information provided by Kinder Morgan, the RCMP is satisfied that no product is missing. RCMP investigators will meet with company representatives tomorrow to review the documentation and source of the discrepancy.
