it's safer to make them wait until traffic dies down then cross when there's less chaos and confusion |
i think the most dangerous crosswalk is on knight between 37th and 33rd. kensington park. it's downhill with people going 55-60. i would never try crossing there. they should have flashing lights on that. victoria one is dangerous too. poor thinking by city of vancouver. even c-lai-mond has flashing lights all over the place |

Retarded pedestrians gotta learn to Stop, Check both fucking ways, WAIT till the car comes to a complete stop! Not fukcing think O hes far away he will have to stop if i walk out on the road. Anyways.. lol no sympathy here for the r-tard who couldnt stop and wait till the road was complete clear before crossing.. Side note: The car didnt seem damaged at all.. I didnt notice any dents.. only a stream of blood on driver door side coming from the moon roof part. |
I've almost smoked someone there. I was in the right lane and didn't notice that the car in the left lane stopped. I let off the gas to change the song after I just turned onto Vic from 33rd, and what do you know, my brakes worked. Alot of people blow by that crosswalk even though other cars are stopped for the pedestrian. This might actually be completely the drivers fault. Who knows. Maybe the driver was the retard and didn't see the pedestrian walking. It's decently lit with the DQ right there. |
yea, that DQ cross walk is too dangerous. at least put the flashing orange lights there, like nanaimo and 49th crosswalk. that's one of the reasons why i avoid victoria drive, i always take knight instead. |
This crosswalk? Damn it looks dangerous in broad day light. |
I hate it when the light is flashing yellow, and cars don't stop unless you step foot onto the road. It's so F-ing dangerous knowing that drivers rarely slow down when there is a flashing yellow. |

I remember one of those nights where it was really foggy and i was driving home one night and turned into my neightbourhood. In doing so at all a slow motion, while halfway into my turn i all of a sudden see a azn guy walking across the street all in black watching his feet and had earphones in... Well all in all i was literally 2cm away from hitting the guy luckily he looked up and jumped out of the way while i was sliding on black ice... And in doing so he jumped and landed on some black ice and fell.. I laughed and drove off.. I couldve been nice and asked if he was okay but, instead he choose to look down while walking(which lots of ppl do) and also decided to wear all black and listen to music in a huge fog... And to tell the truth i was acctually looking for pedestrians to make sure i dont hit them but this guys just poped outta nowhere. As for that Victoria crossing. People always speed by. I remember one time some one was letting the pedestrian cross, and the guys behind him was soo impatient and changed lanes and almost hit the pedestrians.. |
that crosswalk is deadly! i get scared driving by there all the time, foot is always on the brakes. People would just think they have the right of way and just sudden cross the street because the crosswalk sign is there, sometimes car dont have time to react even if you drive slow! So when there's car not used to that area, and they go 60kms, accident is bound to happen! They should have those flashing lights or install actual intersection lights to solve the problem. I hate that area of victoria dr! |
Drivers r really impatient nowadays. Everybody weaving in & out just to be 2 seconds faster to the next red light. And putting a crosswalk in a 2 lane main road is just stupid. Crosswalks are meant for side streets, but busy ones. All main roads should be regulated by traffic lights. Let's face it, everyone will try to slip pass the rules unless they are forced to obey them. |
