My proposed signage additions to HWY 91
 

Fucking hell........ I was on Hwy 1 early in the morning eastbound. I'm in the fast lane, 'cause I was going faster than everybody. I come up to this Ram 2500 truck. It's doing just under 100 kph. Nobody in front of him in both lanes. I don't honk or flash my lights, I just pass him. To my surprise it was some really old Asian guy, barely tall enough to see over the steering wheel, wearing glasses that looked like they were made from the bottoms of two coke bottles. Is there a term for a male C-Lai?

canadians just don't get this. they should make it illegal to stay in the left like americans. i love driving american highways cause i usually pass people.

I'd say 90% of the people actually follow this in rural areas.
Drive to seattle and in rural areas with few cars, even BC plates are moving back to the right after passing.

And, they let you into their lane when a signal is put up. Such courteous drivers, those Americans.

No, it's just the majority of Richmond and Vancouver drivers that don't get it. Everywhere else I've driven in Canada is much better.

those signs should be on all highways. Also when there are three lanes on the highway (i.e. hwy 1 westbound Brunette on-ramp, hwy 1 westbound Mt Lehman on-ramp, Eastbound Johnson Hill) trucks should be not allowed on the most left lane.

apparently you havent driven in kelowna between june and september when all the albertans come here. highway 97 between Kelowna and Vernon with alberta drivers is worse than anything ive ever seen. nearly every single one is in the left lane holding up traffic.

i swear its a requirement on their drivers test to be able to piss off BC drivers.

it's those slow drivers in the right lane when they slow down a truck the truck goes in the left lane trying to pass and then the slow driver in the right lane realises oh shit there's gonna be a truck in front of me soon and then lane blocks the truck to hold up the rest of the traffic, I seen it thousand times. Idiot drivers trying to control traffic.

Good point. Even simply driving 97 between Enderby and Salmon Arm during the summer when I was up at my ex's place was a chore.

This is so true... a lot of drivers here are complete idiots. I like driving down in the US, people understand how the left/right rule works... cops should give tickets here and will make annoying ass drivers learn.

I got to drive around on the highways of Florida between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami and I can tell you there were drivers going below the speed limit in the left lane. And there was also idiots doing 20+ mph over the speed limit trying to pass on the shoulder.

But I agree. Some of the drivers in the lower mainland are pretty brutal.

Those are the retirees who are senile, can't count them they are probably already half blind. it's a wonder they can even start the car.

Initially I thought so when I drove down to Seattle like 2 weeks ago since they have signs that says "Keep right except for passing" all over the interstate.
To my surprise, they can't drive for shit either. :facepalm:
They change lanes without signaling and they cut off other cars like they're driving in China. A lot of cars keep to the right even when there are no traffic around (which won't make a difference for other drivers anyways) and a LOT of drivers block the left lane as well. I know our local c-lais can't drive for shit, but those stupid Americans aren't that much better either.
