car door which started to rust - need new door?

Hi, I have a Seat Ibiza which got slammed from the left side.
I was unable to fix the car for a couple of weeks and by that time, some rust started to form on the door around the impact area.

Do I have to change the whole door, or can this be fixed in an autobody shop without replacing the door itself?
I don't want the rust to come back of course

depends on the damage and the extent of the rust.. if its just surface rust, meh.. but if the rust already ate into/through the sheet metal its gg.

I will upload a picture of the damage

It actually is really hard to give an opinion without seeing it when I think about it
