should see this white sti from my school car club member.

i believe it was 550awhp.

GabAlmighty 01-12-2010 10:07 PM

But does it shoot deafening balls of fire out the back/side/underneath?

jeff_alexander 01-12-2010 10:22 PM

Can we get 1/4mile simulation on the dyno day as well?

JSALES 01-12-2010 10:30 PM

insane

some_punk 01-12-2010 10:38 PM

190 whp stock? seems kinda little, I was expecting maybe like 250 awhp at least

hk20000 01-12-2010 10:51 PM

for a car that's AWD that's about right. I remember back in the days when WRX first came out it was rated 220crank and pulls a 147 on magazines' dynos.

so 195 at crank is like 270 ish and the Mustang dyno is known to be the heart breaker's dyno so it's about 280-290 at the crank for stock.

RacingGreed 01-12-2010 10:55 PM

Stock EVOX and newer STI's do around 200 at the wheel on our dyno.

This car on the video did 175 whp when we base lined it. (Mits dealer guys didn't put boost solenoid line properly.) After fixing the boost line, it did 195 whp.

No, it takes longer to setup the cars and it can get scary running manual transmissions with high horsepower.

Greenstoner 01-13-2010 11:12 AM

fireball !!

VSBB6 01-13-2010 03:22 PM

Hah, I guess I could chime in seeing as this is my car...

It definitely does make flames at night when I let off at a high RPM in a tall gear. It kind of looks likes grenades are exploding behind me for a second.

some_punk 01-13-2010 10:01 PM

with the money you put into it have you changed anything in the ignition system yet? Cause with LS1 changing to those E3 diamond fire plugs made a bit of difference in power that I can definately feel, and mpg improvement to boot.
