Subaru Justy

Subarus have reliability issues with trannys / awd once they pass 10 years. I would suggest you get a non AWD car with snow tires if your budget is 5k and you want it to be reliable.

too_slow 01-13-2010 09:19 PM

the most basic 1995 awd impreza you can find?

orange7 01-13-2010 09:20 PM

i got ownd

EG Civic's

Can't go wrong with them, even though its FWD.

Cheap and AWD don't go together, I mean there's the Eagle Talon Turbo AWD...

Toyota Celica Alltrac

mid to late 80's Mazda 323 awd turbo o.O

http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_i...0001_large.jpg

both are prolly around 3000 or less.

Camry came in All-Trac AWD, so did the Corolla/Corolla Wagon and Celica, back in the mid-late 80's/early 90's.

However, there IS always the option of getting an SUV with 4WD.

you fail... if i could fail you i would.

tercel made a both a wagon and a sedan that were 4wd , corolla made an AWD, not 100% on the camery and i dont think the civic was every made with optional 4wd

10adrien10 01-13-2010 09:25 PM

that subaru justy and the mazda are kinda what im lookin for... i dont think ive ever seen either before, i dunno if there very common?..

Rotary_Rage 01-13-2010 09:28 PM

justy's are very common but they're fairly gutless, the mazda on the other hand is around you just need to do some digging

waht?

look at the subaru loyale, you can get one for like $500, they cant become broken(tryed meny meny meny times). you can take them off jumps and shit. they dont need oil changes, heck they dont even need oil. you can get it in a wagon, 4door sedan, or a 2 door coupe. or even as a turbo4 or flat6 sport coupe know as the xt/xt6. most have a push butten 4wd. some have duel range 4low/high. and some have an awd with locking center diff.

my buddy has a 93 subaru legacy wango with a 5 speed awd tranny. one time he was retarded and forgot to put oil in the gear box. so after 20-30kms all for wheels locked up, and he had to get the car towed home. all it too to fix it was droping the clutch at 7000rpm a couple times to brake it free. put in some fresh oil and it was good to go. 10,000kms on it sofar after the lock up.

talons/laser's/eclipse's are kick ass awd turbo cars. easy to find a nice one under 5000

mazda 323's came in a gtx turbo awd modle, its also kickass.

theres crap loads of awd cars for under 5000 on craigslist.

even ford tempo's came in awd.

too bad cause I corrected myself before you posted

I guess you quoted me before I made the changes, but you didn't post fast enough.

josh t-1 01-13-2010 11:44 PM

YES! get a civic like in the wagon attack video!

Wykydtron 01-14-2010 12:06 AM

I would do unspeakable things for a 323GTX myself. They are just really hard to find in good condition for decent price. Plus maintenance on them isn't the easier, especially when it comes to the brakes. Then there's the rust issue etc etc.

The_AK 01-14-2010 12:53 AM

How about 4 cylinder toyota 4runner? Best of all u can switch in and out of 4wd
