Toronto man finds 50 dead ants in his MC D's breakfast burrito
 

A report in today's Toronto Sun claims that a Toronto man found 50 dead ants in his McDonald's breakfast burrito.

Tommy Lam, 28, said he and his girlfriend stopped by the fast-food restaurant at Markham Road and Denison around 11am Saturday to grab a bite to eat on their way to work.

Lam said they made the discovery after biting into the sausage and egg burrito combos.

The little critters were reportedly not crawling around suggesting they were in fact dead. But that was no consolation to Lam who had already eaten the first of his two burritos.

Lam claims there was no apology when he returned to the store with the contaminated food but instead the store manager offered to replace the couple's burritos.

Not interested in the offer Lam walked out of the store. He reportedly still has the burritos and plans to get some answers starting Monday morning.

The Toronto Sun's website states:

Staff at the McDonald's location referred the Sun's calls to the company's head office.

A message left on the Media Relations Centre line was not returned yesterday.

York Region Community and Health Services also could not be reached for comment.

i shouted at the manager for not apologizing and asked for refund on everything we already ate. got the money eventually.

I'm sure we've all ate an ant or two or other insects without knowing.

that's not as bad as what happened at my mcd's. someone had the balls to put broken glass into the cheeseburgers of an RCMP officer. we were all interrogated by management but we never heard who did it and no one was suddenly fired.

I call bullshit. How is it possible for the guy making the burrito to not notice 50 ants scattered in the ingredients?
