It's not an official Olympic sport, but 2010 spectators will soon be given a chance to zip past high-rise towers in downtown Vancouver.
Premier Gordon Campbell says construction starts Friday on a zip-line attraction near Robson Square, "Hopefully, there'll be a lot that's taking place in the City at the Olympic Live sites, a lot of them are free, and so, I think you'll find that the BC/Canada Pavilion here at Robson Square will be something that shows off not just BC, but invites all British Columbians to recognize the incredible Province they live in, as well."
Last fall, operators of the Whistler-based Ziptrek Ecotours confirmed they were in talks with the Provincial Government to set up a downtown attraction, but no word yet on how much it's going to cost.
