Private Investigator (Under Supervisiion) Licence Type Does anyone currently have this? I have my Security Guard licence type, but I also wish to get the PI (Under Supervision) licence type as well. How and where can I obtain this? The PSSA website is very vague in explaining the routes to obtain it. |
Not exactly sure but it could be sponsored by a firm that hires ex-law enforcement officers as PIs. |
Thread Closed. There are no requirements to get this licence type added to your Security Worker's Licence. |
But you DO need to get hired at a firm where you'll be under supervision for two years until you can remove the "Under Supervision" from your security license. |

When I called the Public Safety and Solicitor General line today, the lady told me that there is NO qualifications needed to obtain the PI Under Supervision licence. I do know that, ultimately, if you want the FULL PI licence, you are required to be hired by a firm and work enough hours to qualify for it, but that's not what I am trying to pursue. I am satisfied with the PI Under Supervision licence. Can anyone else confirm this? |
Yeah I'm only confirming the "Under Supervision" thing too. I think YMMV with individual firm's preferences tho. Try calling one of them. |
http://www.pssg.gov.bc.ca/securityin...upervision.pdf It says no experience or training is required to get this licence. :) |
