Private Investigator (Under Supervisiion) Licence Type

Does anyone currently have this?

I have my Security Guard licence type, but I also wish to get the PI (Under Supervision) licence type as well. How and where can I obtain this?

The PSSA website is very vague in explaining the routes to obtain it.

Not exactly sure but it could be sponsored by a firm that hires ex-law enforcement officers as PIs.

Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

Thread Closed.

There are no requirements to get this licence type added to your Security Worker's Licence.

But you DO need to get hired at a firm where you'll be under supervision for two years until you can remove the "Under Supervision" from your security license.

Are you sure about this?

When I called the Public Safety and Solicitor General line today, the lady told me that there is NO qualifications needed to obtain the PI Under Supervision licence.

I do know that, ultimately, if you want the FULL PI licence, you are required to be hired by a firm and work enough hours to qualify for it, but that's not what I am trying to pursue.

I am satisfied with the PI Under Supervision licence.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Yeah I'm only confirming the "Under Supervision" thing too. I think YMMV with individual firm's preferences tho. Try calling one of them.

http://www.pssg.gov.bc.ca/securityin...upervision.pdf

It says no experience or training is required to get this licence.
