When I lived on River Rd in Richmond, we used to always get female Hobo Spiders crawling around in the kitchen looking for a mate. They aren't as big, but pretty freaky looking

I would always want to kill them, but my wife doesn't like killing anything so she would capture them and set them free. She's one of the few women I know who aren't afraid of these things!
